Lingshui county originally , rename as Li Autonomous County of
Lingshui on December 31 1987 , directly under the jurisdiction of
Hainan Province. Lingshui county starts to put for six years (610
years ) of great cause in Sui, long history that was 1388 years
ago. The cover area is 127.3 sq. km., or 112726.667 hectares.
There are 17 villages and towns now in the whole county (10 towns
, 7 townships ), 10 the people's villages and towns among them.
There are 114 pieces of junta, 611 natural villages. There are
state-run farm of Nan Ping under the province , mountain range
door farm and the head office of forestry of Luoshan hangs within
the border.
There
are 16 nationalities in the whole county. Mostly Li , Han, the
Miao nationality' s population. 311,700 , total population of the
whole county in 1997, among them: The Li nationality is 169,000
people, accounts for 54.2% of total population; The Han
nationality is 141,000 people, accounts for 45.4%; The Miao
nationality is 619 people, accounts for 0.2%; Other nationalities
count 628 people completely, accounts for 0.2%.
Li
Autonomous County of Lingshui, lies in the southeast of Hainan
Province. connectting Wanning city in the northeast, adjoin with
Qiong Zhong and Qiong Zhong countyint the northwest, boarded by
Sanya in the southwest , face the South China Sea in the
southeast. It is 40 kilometers long from south to north, it is 32
kilometers wide from east to west. It is high in the northwest of
the terrain , the southeast is low. Geological structure most
composed of granite, the west is the mountain area, the middle

southeast is the plain area . The soil belong to more loam and
sandy loam. The loam is distributed in the northwest mountain area
and hilly country of middle part.

in the whole county, total length is 756.15 kilometers.

of the administrative villages lead to the township highway in
varying degrees. The density of the highway is 67.1 kilometers /
one hundred sq. km. And hang the large line highway along the old
line of imperial tomb , can lead to and protect pavilion county ,
Tongshi and Qiong Zhong county .
The
daily water supply in residential district district is 4070 tons,
daily water needed is only 300 tons at present, So the water
